Powderwash Exhibit G (Amended)
Water Information
Entrance Sign: N40.88009 degrees
W108.24044 degrees
The Powderwash No. 66 pit is in Section 25, TUN, R97W of the 6"' P.M., as shown on
Exhibit G-1. The permit area is on a north slope and it is divided by a dry wash draining into
Reservoir Draw, and Powderwash Draw, tributary to the Little Snake River. The upland
drainage area is very flat, and it only drains approximately 55 acres of the rim between
Powderwash and Spence Gulch (also tributary to the Little Snake River). There are no
known springs, wells or wetlands on, or within 200 feet of the project.
This project will not divert stormwater for beneficial use, or affect the "Waters of the United
States", or the "Waters of the State of Colorado". Local run-off water may settle in low areas
of the excavations, and, if such water collects in a substantial way, or if it becomes
impounded for a substantial period of time, the operator will notify the Property owners of
that event, and recommend that they apply for a water storage right under Colorado Water
Law. No ground water was intercepted during the exploration activity, and none is expected
during the proposed gravel mining effort.
In the event that groundwater is exposed, Moffat County will backji'll the excavation so as not
to expose groundwater until a well permit has been obtained for the pit well pursuant to CRS
37-90-137
This Exhibit G was amended in order to include the last sentence above. The State
Engineer's office has insisted that Moffat County include this language in our Exhibit G
filings.
Exhibit G
Water Information
