III. COMMENTS - COMPLIANCE
Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made
during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection
and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action.
This was a complete inspection conducted by Kent Gorham of the Colorado Division of
Reclamation, Mining, and Safety (Division). This mine is in permanent cessation and
reclamation of most areas is complete. Ground conditions on this day were very muddy due
to recent snow and subsequent snowmelt. The weather on this day was clear and cool.
Availability of Records
The public copy of the mine records is kept at the Energy Fuels Coal Company (EFCC) office
in Florence. Al Weaver, consultant to EFCC, represented EFCC for the records inspection.
Specific details regarding the records inspection can be found on page 2a of this report. All
records were found in compliance.
Hydrologic Balance
Pond 4 and Pond 5 were both found dry, indicating little excess runoff from the latest round
of precipitation. Magpie Creek permanent diversion appeared normal and no changes were
noted.
Reveoetation
