Use no more than one-fourth of a mix of this species ad
three-fourth grass.
(13) Short lived plants - seed small anoonts and allow other species to increase in density.
(14) Poisonous plant (alkaloids) - may be undesirable to seed if area is to be grazed.
(15) This may be undesirable to seed if grazing of cattle is anticipated due to hemorrhaging or bloat.
(16) Seel only scattered plants with grass.
(17) Source of seed should be within 150 miles of planting site and from a higher elevation than the site.
(18) Seed only in moist soils - near springs, streans, etc.
(19) Consideration should be given to the palatability with respect to grazing both during establishment aid
drawing animals to the seeding after establishment.
(20) Seeding rate is presently unknown. Add mall anounts of seed of this species to mixtures of other species
with known seeding rates.
