-2- <br />2. You shall design all wetland crossings to allow for full functioning of wetland hydrology on <br />both sides of the crossing This effort is especially important since the loads of heavy <br />equipment and loaded tracks could compromise the existing soil voids resulting in <br />compression and blockage of flow. Multiple smaller diameter pipes could be used to avoid <br />hydrologic pinching of groundwater flow. <br />3. You must sign the enclosed Compliance Certification and return it to this office within- 30 <br />days after completion of the authorized work. <br />4. Due to the proximity of this area to an airport runway and the need to minimize avian <br />intrusions, and also the limited acreage of impacts, wetland mitigation in this instance will be <br />waived by the Corps. <br />This verification is valid for two years from the date of this letter or until the Nationwide <br />Permit is modified, reissued, or revoked, whichever comes first Failure to comply with the General <br />Conditions of this Nationwide Permit, or the project specific Special Conditions of this <br />authorization, may result in the suspension or revocation of your authorization. <br />We appreciate your feedback.
