be extracted and processed by moving in an southeasterly and northeasterly
direction. This phase will consist of 7.5 acres.
Following the completion of Phase I, Phase II will progress to the west. This phase
will consist of 7.5 acres.
e. Proposed mining will begin in the spring of 2010 and is estimated to
continue for 15+ years. Depending on the demand for product it is estimated that
approximately 1 acre per year would be mined. The beginning elevation of the pit
is approximately 8150 and mining will take place in two stages to reach the final
elevation projected which is 8110. The first stage will begin in Phase I and go to a
depth of 8130. Once the entire portion of Phase I has been mined to that elevation
a second stage of mining will begin in the same area down to an elevation of 8110.
Upon completion of mining in Phase I the eastern slope will be the first area
reclaimed followed by the north and then the south . Once all stockpiles of
material are depleted in Phase I and the mining and stockpiling has progressed to
Phase II those areas of the pit including the floor will be reclaimed.
Phase II will be mined in stages similar to those of Phase I. The first stage in
Phase II will be mined to an elevation of 8130 moving in both a northwest and
southwest direction from Phase I. The second stage will mine Phase II to and
elevation of approximately 8110.
PHASE I
Year Elevation Disturbed
Acres Reclaimed Acres
Stage 1
2010 8150 2.0
2011 3.0
2012 4.0
2013 5.0
Stage 2 °
2014 8130 6.0
2015 7.0
2016 8110 7.5 3.0

Rev 11/20/09
