This report has
been reviewed.
Our comments and issues are stated below:
§ 1.3 Please cite reports documenting the implementation of approved reclamation plans.
§2.2 Please cite the letter or other supporting documentation, if any, from CDPHE that support
successful remediation.
§3.2 Please expand the list of risk scenarios presented as part of the RESRAD analysis. Specifically,
the residential and commercial use scenarios.
§4.3.3 Item 4: soils will be wetted during excavation to reduce dust.
Item 6: The correlation between gamma detector response and Ra-226 concentrations in soil will
need to be demonstrated. A correlation coefficient of 0.90 or better is expected.
§5.0 Termination of the RAM License does not necessarily mean that the site has un-restricted use.
The facility is still regulated by the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining, and Safety.
4-11:11
