She is in the field. She doesn't have a strong opinion on whether this should be a technical revision
or a minor revision so, unless something else comes up, it can probably be a minor revision. Sandy and Marcia are out
until Monday so the Division won't call this revision complete until then. I do have several more questions:
1. Is the improved dirt road that lies directly down gradient of this proposed mining area a BLM road? If so, has the
BLM been notified of this revision and can they approve of it in writing in time for Division approval? Road is on
private surface. Proposed mining is on private surface as well.
2. If this proposed mine plan change results in a landslide that buries this road, how will Bowie access the upper
area for gob vent boreholes since the Freeman Gulch access road was buried in the 2007 landslide? We would
have to re -open the road, additionally there is a steep gradient road located to the east of the proposed mine
plan area.
3. No matter what the trigger was for the 2007 landslide in Hubbard Canyon, is the real underlying cause that the
mining is too close to the outcrop? No, I don't believe the cause is mining too close to the outcrop
4. What is Bowie's timeline for approval? 30 days would be ok, preferably sooner
