• In addition to the fuel tanks present on site, a fuel truck may be used to provide fuel for the
mobile equipment on site. Once Phase 1 is mined out, the area will be converted to an industrial
yard. As such, maintenance of mining equipment will take place in the Phase 1 area, along with
all of the fuel storage. A truck scale of 20' x 50' size is also near the mine entrance. A small-
scale shack will be installed next to the scale.
Since the post-mining land use is an industrial yard, a variety of equipment will be present
during and after the mine life. The following list is the best estimate of the equipment which will
be used as part of the mining and reclamation operations throughout the life of the mine:
- Dozer: various sizes
- Front End Loaders: various sizes
- Off Road Dump Trucks
- Part Time Water Truck (as needed)
• - Topsoil equipment (Scrapers & Graders)
Support equipment may be required on site on an as-needed basis.
There will be no blasting as part of this operation.
•
LaSalle Pit, April 09 D-5
