• 2.05.3(2)
Production mining from Area 3 will proceed similarly to
Areas 1 and 2. The topsoil from the initial mining area will be
salvaged as well as the topsoil from the pond, roads and the spoil
pile. Overburden from the first pit and portions of the third pit
in Area 3 will be excavated and placed in the spoil pile where
shown on the Mine Plan Map, Mining Area 3, no. 126. Approximately
250,000 cubic yards of spoil will be excavated and placed in the
pile.
Overburden and spoil from advancing pits will be placed
directly into adjacent pits. This sequence will continue
throughout the mining area.
The Mine Plan Map, Drawing No. 126, shows the progression
of production, open pit mining in one year intervals. The
projected schedule assumes a production rate of 480,000 tons per
year. The schedule will change if production varies from that
estimated.
The Mine Plan Map also shows the progression of recla-
mation in one year increments. For the purposes of this schedule,
reclamation is defined as areas where topsoil has been placed on
regraded overburden.
• The following schedule shows acreage to be disturbed
initially and at the end of each one year period thereafter, the
reclaimed acreage and the remaining disturbed acreage at the end of
each year.
Remaining
Acreage Reclaimed Disturbed
Disturbed Acreage Acreage
Initial Disturbance 75 0 75
Month
1-12 85 97 63
13-23
Pond,Road,Topsoil Pile 0 15 0
Totals 190 190
•
2.05-4i July 1992
