RECLAMATION COSTS <br />EXHIBIT L <br />The worst case reclamation scenario would be when all of Mining Area 1 is mined out and the <br />northern portion of Mining Area 3 is mined. This is when the largest amount of material would <br />need to be taken from stock piles and placed in the void space to bring the surface up to the <br />elevation necessary for the center pivot irrigation. <br />The reclamation activities that would need to be conducted are: <br />1. Center Pivot Field Backfilling <br />• Take stockpiled material overburden and place it into the Center Pivot Field - <br />133,333 C.Y. <br />• Haul material from the disturbed area in Mining Area 2 -133,333 C.Y. <br />• Doze down the high wall to finish grading the area to l OH: l V slope - 26,667 C.Y. <br />2. Re-Topsoiling <br />• Mix stockpiled topsoil with stockpiled fines. <br />• Place 4" topsoil over the pit floor that was not regarded when the side slopes were <br />backfilled. <br />3. Seeding <br />• Seed all irrigated pasture by drill seeding (55 acres). <br />• Seed rangeland with broadcast seeding (9 acres). <br />• Mulch the rangeland area (9 acres). <br />Cugnini Pit, November 2009 L-1
