Storm water <br />controls were maintained throughout the week. Precipitation was not substantial during the week. <br />V) VLF Geosynthetics <br />No work performed during the week. <br />CQA ACTIVITIES: <br />SUMMARY: <br />The CQA activities performed consisted of observing, documenting and recording the construction <br />activities of the contractor. <br />AMEC observed placement of structural fill within the Phase 5 VLF fill area. Fill temperatures were <br />monitored on an hourly basis during periods with ambient temperatures below 32°F. <br />AMEC observed structural fill placement (processed ore) within the Phase IV VLF constantly. Nuclear <br />density testing was performed during placement. <br />AMEC observed, tested, and accepted subgrade preparation within the Phase 5 fill area. <br />AMEC observed removal of the old Phase IV solution lines. <br />Testing Summary <br />Laboratory testing continues (Particle Size Distribution, Atterberg Limits, and Moisture-Density <br />Compaction testing) for sampled materials. <br />GENERAL PROJECT ITEMS <br />Summary of Concerns: <br />No concerns <br />VLF Weekly Report WE 10.10.09.D
