Noxious weed control will be part of the general operation plan of the pit. Both Phillips and Yuma
Counties have a Weed and Pest Management District which offers services that control noxious weeds.
Yuma County will either use one of those services or spray the noxious weeds themselves after receiving
advice on the proper chemical which would offer control.
Howard McGinnis called and indicated you do need some proof of the 100' setback waiver from Co. Rd.
16 which is only a trail north of the pit. I am including a copy of the official minutes of the Phillips
County Commissioner minutes from May 8, 2009. 1 have highlighted the paragraph where we requested
a waiver of the 200' setback and the motion which granted a waiver which allowed the pit to come
within 100'. If you need additional documentation, please let me know.
This concludes our responses to your adequacy review. Please let me know as soon as possible if any
additional information is needed. I can be contacted at 970-854-3778 (work) or 970-520-0502 (cell).
Thank you.
Sincerely, p
Randy Schafer
Consultant
cc: Yuma County Road and Bridge, Howard McGinnis
*um County Clerk
Enclosures: Application page signed by the Yuma County Clerk
,-'-Revised maps with signatures
?Proof of publication
roof of notification to adjoining landowners and the property owners
?Phillips County Commissioner minutes from May 8, 2009
2
