Ktx 2008-191 <br />Planning Department No. 2008-268 CUPl <br />APPROVAL FOR A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR THE <br />HALLIBURTON -CAMEO SAND STORAGE FACILITY <br />LOCATED AT 3970 I 9/10 ROAD <br />IN THE CAMEO AREA <br />WHEREAS, Dave Kasnoff, FCI Contractors, on behalf of Snowcap Coal Company, <br />Inc., the owner, sought approval for Conditional Use Permit to operate a sand storage facility <br />with a request for an exception to the height limitations in the Agricultural, Forestry, <br />Transitional (AFT) District and shown on attached Exhibit " A" and more particulazly <br />described on attached Exhibit "B" LEGAL DESCRIPTION; and <br />WHEREAS, the attached Exhibit "C" is the site plan for the proposed use, and <br />WHEREAS, the staff recommendation was contained in a staff report dated October <br />22, 2008; and <br />~~ <br />WHEREAS, the Mesa County Planning Commission recommended approval of this <br />project at the November 6, 2008 Planning Commission public hearing; and <br />WHEREAS, the public hearing duly noticed was held before the Mesa County Boazd <br />of County Commissioners on November 18, 2008. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF THE <br />COUNTY OF MESA FINDS AS FOLLOWS: <br />THAT public notice requirements of Section 3.1.8 of the Mesa County Land <br />Development Code (2000, as amended) have been met. <br />R ~ <br />~ w <br />0 <br />°o ~ <br />n O <br />~_ m U <br />~B ~ <br />" O Q <br />a oog it <br />(~O W J <br />vN U <br />yo O <br />fO U <br />atpp w ~ <br />Oi ~ c <br />VN <br />NO N <br />.- ~ <br />OaQ~ <br />a~p~ <br />Ur~+id c <br />~oQ~ <br />THAT Dave Kasnoff, FCI Contractors, on behalf of Snowcap Coal Company, Inc., <br />the owner; requests a Conditional Use Permit to operate a sand storage facility with an <br />exception to the height limitations in the AFT District, located at 3970 I 9/10 Road that meets <br />the applicable Approval Criteria for Conditional Use Permits (Section 3.8.7), and the General <br />Approval Criteria (Section 3.1.17) of the Mesa County Land Development Code (2000, as <br />amended), and that is consistent with the Mesa County Master Plan. <br />• <br />THAT this request is in accordance with the health, safety and welfare of the <br />residents of Mesa County. <br />PR-4 A15-2-20 (New 12/08) <br />
