RECLAMATION RIDGE, LLC
P.O. BOX 204
GRANBY, CO 80446
(970) 726-8000
September 23, 2009
Mr. Peter Hays
Division of Reclamation, Mining
1313 Sherman St., Room 215
Denver, CO 80213
RE: Reclamation Ridge,
Thompson Resource
Permit #M-1983-102
Dear Mr. Hays;
LLC
& Safety
- Bond Reduction
G C-C, E, uV -.-
.-
S?
r1 „u?
.111
0-621
During your April 16, 2009 mine inspection you noted three
items that needed to be bonded for. One was to remove the
concrete shop building and pad, Task #007; import 650 cy of
topsoil, Task #008 and cleanup of the waste asphalt, concrete
piles & junk equipment, Task #009. This increased the bond by
$35,900.00. The bond was posted and we have now corrected these
noted deficiencies and request a bond reduction to better
reflect the reclamation needed at the mine now.
TASK #007 - CONCRETE PLANT BUILDING DEMO
This task involved removing the concrete shop building, the
building floor pad and concrete storage bins left by the batch
plant operator. The building and pad have been removed so those
costs can be removed from this task. The concrete bins are
currently being used and are a valuable asset for our operation.
The $1,266 involved with its removal should be left in, as we
plan to use the bins until mining ends. This reduces Task #009
by $17,722.
TASK #008 - TOPSOIL ACCOUNTING
We note that your bond calculation sheet lists placing six
inches of topsoil on the seedbeds and floor area. The permit on
the other hand was approved for no soil on the floor and four
inches in the slopes. This has little impact on the bond
calculations since as approved we needed 11,688 yards for the
