WR-1
The permanent diversion ditch from the West Ridge Pond to the Center Ridge Pond contained water
and was discharging with the Center Ridge Pond. The 007 discharge Flume located between the
Center Ridge Pond and Trout Creek was unreadable with a trickle discharge.
The Moffat down drains 1 —4 and the Moffat Final Pit Segment Ditches were in good condition and
stable with no problems noted. No water was observed flowing in the drains or ditches at the time of
the inspections.
The string-of-pearls permanent drainage channel contained water at check dams 11 and 12. No
problems were noted and the drainage appears to be functioning as designed.
The North Road culverts E1 — E5, and E12, Lower Moffat Road culverts E6— E8, MAC8, and MAC3
were in good condition and functioning as designed. The inlets and outlets showed no signs of
damage, erosion or blockage of the culverts.
Support Facilities
The area in and around the support facilities appears stable. The permanent buildings at the mine
site appear to be stable with no problems noted. The office building off of County Road 131 appeared
stable with no problems noted.
Revenetation
The areas of the mine site that have been revegetated show good signs of substantial vegetative
cover. A bond release inspection conducted in August 2009 showed evidence of scotch thistle,
Canada thistle, houndstounge, and perennial pepperweed along the roads and small patches
throughout the reclaimed areas of west ridge and Moffat areas. Weed spraying was conducted in
early August 2009 and the locations sprayed appeared to be dying off. Chevron Mining will conduct
spraying in these areas at the end of September 2009. Special emphasis should be associated to the
area along the end of the Lower Moffat Road and around the embankments of the Moffat Pond.
Reclamation Success
The entire Edna Mine site appears to be stable with no problems noted. The areas in and around the
Old Tipple Road appear stable with no major problems noted. There were no signs of damage or
erosion at the time of the inspection.
