0 5. Water Information, Rights and Augmentation
All water rights issues such as availability of water for this operation, consumption rates, dust
control, etc. is presented in Exhibit G - Water Information.
6. Schedule of Operations
Mining operations will occur as dictated by demand. Mining, screening and processing will take
place year round and product will be sold from this site throughout the year, although little is
expected to be sold in winter months. The operator will not have night gravel mining operations.
7. Crowley County Impacts and Environmental Impacts
The impacts to Crowley County will be limited. Minimal dust is expected from the operation due
to the pit and roads being watered as needed, and a low annual production level. Traffic will enter
County Road A via County Lane 15 then access Highway 207 and will travel in either direction
depending on sales. It is possible that other local roads may be used by light truck traffic. No new
impacts to county services will occur. The long term effect of the operation will be beneficial to
the environment by providing a more diverse rangeland upon reclamation as well as providing for
the local market demand.
•
Korinek #1 Pit August 2009 D-8
