Rimrock Exploration & Development, Inc.
J-Bird Uranium Mine/ DMO/ EPP Surface Water Control & Retention Facilities
10.0 SURFACE WATER CONTROL & RETENTION FACILITIES
There are no facilities to hold, convey, contain or transport "Designated Chemicals" at
the Mine, as there are no extractive metallurgical processes. Refer to Figure 2 - Site Mag
for illustrations and the SWMP (section 3.3) for text representations of Surface Water
Controls (Controls). These Controls were designed to transport, divert and reduce
velocity of surface water around or away from surface deposition materials associated
with the Mine. Additional Controls have been designed to retain surface water falling on
the permitted area prior to release from the site. The SWMP has an integrated
maintenance and inspection program. The implementation of this program will ensure
that all drainage control and containment facilities will be properly operated and self-
maintained. Examples of integrated program inspection and follow-up forms are
available in Appendices C, D, E and F of the SWMP. As previously mentioned in
Section 3.1, BLM Operation Stipulations address additional Surface Water Control
management practices.
16
