Rimrock Exploration & Development, Inc. <br />J-Bird Uranium Mine/ DMO/ EPP Designated Chemical(s) Evaluations <br />In summary, as a conservative practice; the J-Bird materials will be managed to control <br />water contact (and subsequent water leachate) with waste rock and ore. It does not <br />appear that the J-Bird materials would leach a significant amount of potentially hazardous <br />substances. However, since the materials are comprised of uranium-bearing rock; it does <br />contain amounts of uranium and its decay products (radium isotopes) which can be <br />considered hazardous if they occur in sufficient concentration to be toxic. Therefore, the <br />materials will be isolated from surface water flow pathways and continually maintained <br />in order to minimize residence time on-site and potential contact with weathering <br />elements. <br />11
