Blast pattern drilling was performed by Rockbreakers <br />between stations A17+50 (+/-) and A19+00 (+/-), using two track mounted drill rigs. Pipe bedding <br />was placed in the bottom of the excavated trench and compacted using the excavator bucket, per <br />project specification. <br />10" and 12" diameter HDPE pipes, previously fusion-welded in 250 and 600-foot runs at the Ames <br />laydown yard, were placed in the new ADR waterline trench. Approximately 600 lineal feet of 12- <br />inch HDPE pipe and 600 lineal feet of 10-inch pipe were placed in the trench. Tracer wire was <br />taped to the top of the pipes. The pipes were covered with pipe bedding material using a CAT 345 <br />excavator and a CAT 966 loader between stations A20+00(+/-) to A22+00(+/-), per project <br />specification. <br />J) Miscellaneous <br />No work performed during the week. <br />III) Underground Workings <br />A) Drilling <br />No work performed during the week. <br />B) Mine Shaft/Stope Remediation <br />No work performed during the week. <br />C) Lateral/Slot Remediation <br />No work performed during the week. <br />IV) Storm Water Management Structures <br />A) Control Structures <br />No work performed during the week. <br />B) Best Management Practices <br />Best Management Practices are being observed throughout the VLF Phase 5 Project. Storm water <br />controls were improved throughout the week. Sumps were also constructed along existing haul <br />roads for storm water control.
