Blast pattern drilling was performed by Rockbreakers
between stations A17+50 (+/-) and A19+00 (+/-), using two track mounted drill rigs. Pipe bedding
was placed in the bottom of the excavated trench and compacted using the excavator bucket, per
project specification.
10" and 12" diameter HDPE pipes, previously fusion-welded in 250 and 600-foot runs at the Ames
laydown yard, were placed in the new ADR waterline trench. Approximately 600 lineal feet of 12-
inch HDPE pipe and 600 lineal feet of 10-inch pipe were placed in the trench. Tracer wire was
taped to the top of the pipes. The pipes were covered with pipe bedding material using a CAT 345
excavator and a CAT 966 loader between stations A20+00(+/-) to A22+00(+/-), per project
specification.
J) Miscellaneous
No work performed during the week.
III) Underground Workings
A) Drilling
No work performed during the week.
B) Mine Shaft/Stope Remediation
No work performed during the week.
C) Lateral/Slot Remediation
No work performed during the week.
IV) Storm Water Management Structures
A) Control Structures
No work performed during the week.
B) Best Management Practices
Best Management Practices are being observed throughout the VLF Phase 5 Project.
