EXHIBIT G - Water Information
Water Information
The Pierce North gravel pit will not intersect groundwater - this will be a dry pit. It is anticipated that no permanent
pool ponds will be constructed or remain on site; any runoff entering the pit will infiltrate to groundwater through the
base and walls of the pit.
There are no FEMA-designated floodplains or floodways on the Pierce North property proposed for mining
activities.
There are no existing or planned surface water impoundments at the Pierce North site. Water needs for gravel
mining and processing operations are expected to not exceed 4000 gallons per day; water for dust control will be
obtained and hauled from County-owned wells at other gravel pits from wells designated for dust control or gravel
processing use.
There are no irrigation structures on the Pierce North property.
A CDPHE Construction Stormwater Discharge permit has been applied for the North Pierce pit.
M:\DAVE B\Pierce North\DMG permit\Exhibits-Revl.doc 8/21/2009
