EXHIBIT L - Reclamation Costs
The Witherbee Pit is a total of 80 acres. The effective mined area is 40.8 acres.
1) The area of excavation will be mined as close to a slope of 3:1 as possible and
finished at 3:1.
2) Overburden and topsoil will be re-applied to the excavations.
3) The slopes will be fertilized with fertilizer or barnyard manure as indicated by soil
tests and then seeded with a cover crop.
4) After the cover crop is established, the grass will be planted as recommended by
the local Natural Resource Conservation Service.
5) An estimate has not been prepared because this permit is held by a county
government which guarantees that they will reclaim the pit.
