PUBLIC NOTICE <br />Lafarge West, Inc. (applicant), whose address is 10170 Church Ranch Way, Suite 200; <br />Westminster, CO 80021 has filed an application for a Regular (112) Construction and <br />Materials Operation. Reclamation Permit Amendment with the Colorado Mined Land <br />Reclamation Board under provisions of the Colorado Land Reclamation Act for the <br />Extraction of Construction Materials. The application will amend permit M-1977-036 to <br />add the 12.38 acre "Lafarge Brown Property" located in the NE t/4 of Section 34, <br />Township 6 North, Range 66 West of the Oh PM, Weld County, Colorado to the proposed <br />369 acre Greeley 35th Avenue Mine located in the NE t/4 of Section 34 and in a portion of <br />Section 35, Township 6 North, Range 66 West of the 6th PM, Weld County, Colorado. <br />The proposed date of commencement of mining on the Lafarge Brown Property is <br />approximately the spring of'2010. - The proposed date of completion is approximately <br />2015, but it depends on market conditions. The proposed future use of the land is an <br />open water pond. <br />Additional information and a tentative decision date may be obtained from the Division <br />of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, Colorado <br />80203, (303) 866-3567), from the Clerk to the Board of Weld County Commissioners' <br />office (915 10th Street, Greeley, CO 80631), or from the above named applicant. A <br />complete copy of the application is available at the Clerk to the Board of Weld County <br />Commissioners' office and at the Division's office. <br />Comments concerning the application and exhibits must be in writing and must be <br />received by the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety by 4:00 pm on September 3, <br />2009. <br />Please note that under the provisions of C.R.S. 34-32.5-101 et seq., comments related to <br />noise, truck traffic, hours of operation, visual impacts, effects on property values and <br />other social or economic concerns are issues not subject to this Office's jurisdiction. <br />These subjects, and similar ones, are typically addressed by your local governments, <br />rather than the Division of Minerals and Geology or the Mined Land Reclamation Board. <br />Please call Pam Hora at Tetra Tech at 303-772-5282 if you have questions regarding this <br />application.
