A shallow ditch is maintained between the road and Topsoil Pile 1. <br />Surfacing -The road had little or no roadbase and a minimal amount of 3/4 roadbase <br />gravel on the surface. <br />Maintenance -Minor grading may be done on the road to eliminate ruts and to promote <br />drainage. <br />Structure <br />Location <br />Construction Dates <br />Light Use Road 3 <br />Description -This road circles around outside the Unit Train Loadout (UTL) rail loop <br />from the point where Haul Road 3 crosses the loop, around the east and north side to <br />another track crossing on the northwest side of the loop. This 3800' road is seldom <br />used except for monitoring of 3 piezometers outside the rail loop. <br />Design and Construction -The road generally follows the original topography of the <br />area with very little cut and fills. Except for 120' of 8% grade near the south end, the <br />grades on the road range from 0-1 %.
