Air Resource Protection: The contractor was doing some maintenance work at the time of the
inspection. There was not a problem with fugitive dust from these activities.
Off-Site Support Facilities: I took a very brief ride through the loadout and it does not appear as
though much (if any) reclamation activity has taken place since the removal of the coal silos and
related structures. Overall the loadout is OK.
This concludes the 15 July 2009 inspection of the Bowie No. 1 Mine.
