ame <br />Earth & Environmental <br />truck. Each lift was compacted with a 10-ton smooth drum vibratory compactor passing over <br />the entire surface at least 4 times (method compaction technique is applicable). <br />Slope scaling and slope preparation were performed through out the week using a CAT 345 <br />excavator and a CAT 330 excavator. <br />Blast pattern drilling was performed between stations A8+00 (+/-) and A9+50 (+/-), <br />approximately 40 left of centerline to 40 feet right of centerline using three track mounted drill <br />rigs. Blasting was performed in this area on 7/10/2009. <br />F) Material Processing <br />1) South Cresson Clay Processing Area <br />Processing of Soil Liner Fill material continued at the South Cresson Clay Process. A CAT D- <br />6 dozer, a CAT 320 excavator, and a CAT 966 front-end loader were used to process the <br />material. <br />Location This Week <br />tons Cumulative Comments <br />So Cresson Clay Processing 3,810 44,885 <br />Squaw Gulch Processing - 35,816 Processing in area complete. <br />Total 0 76,080 <br />G) Miscellaneous <br />No work performed during the week. <br />III) Underground Working <br />A) Drilling <br />Confirmatory drill holes for Underground Working #3004 were grouted by Rockbreakers. Any <br />holes that had caved in were re-drilled prior to grouting. An AMEC field representative observed <br />grouting of the drill holes throughout the process. <br />B) Mine Shaft/Stope Remediation <br />An Underground Working was encountered during excavation near station A 10+50 (+/-). This <br />working was inspected by an AMEC field representative. Remediation procedures for the shaft <br />will be discussed with John Lupo (AMEC). <br />C) Lateral/Slot Remediation <br />No work performed during the week. <br />IV) Storm Water Management Structures <br />A) Control Structures <br />No work performed during the week. <br />B) Best Management Practices <br />Best Management Practices are being observed throughout the VLF Phase 5 Project. <br />Sheet 3 of 6 <br />VLF Weekly Report WE 07.11.09.D.doc
