extension. No new access roads or road upgrades are proposed. No road
work outside the permit area is proposed. The Mining Plan has been
reworded to clarify this.
• The sentence about Rio Bianco County on page 12 was a typographical
error; Rio Blanco County is not involved in the mining operations. The
sentence has been corrected to read: In the event that Urie Rock Company
needs to bring other facilities onsite for the operations, the Division of
Reclamation, Mining and Safety and Rio Blanco County will be contacted
with a Technical Revision to allow for these facilities to be onsite."
• The three mine phases have been added to the mine plan maps and their
sizes (5.5 acres each) and configuration are now specified in the General
Mine Plan.
• Topsoil will be segregated from other overburden by storage in separate
stockpiles. Topsoil will be stored in a topsoil-only stockpile at the west side of
the permit area. Overburden will be stored in isolation berms around the
edges of the pit, or moved directly from one phase to reclaim the previous
phase. The Mining Plan has been updated to clarify this.
4 EXHIBIT E -Reclamation Plan (Rule 6.4.5):
See EXHIBIT E, revised Reclamation Plan, attached.
Immediately after mining of a given phase is completed, overburden and
then topsoil will be replaced in that area. Some of this reclamation wilt occur
simultaneously with the beginning of mining of the next phase. The
Reclamation plan has been rewritten to clarify and detail this sequence of
events.
All buildings and equipment to be used are portable. The access road will be
left intact so that the landowner has access to the reclaimed areas. There will
be no ditches constructed. The only sediment control structures proposed are
the isolation berms; these berms will be removed when all mining is
completed, and used to reclaim the pit area of Phase 3. All disturbed areas
will be regraded, tilled, and reseeded. The Reclamation Plan has been
rewritten to clarify and detail this plan. Berm and stockpile locations are now
shown on the Reclamation Map.
Each stage of reclamation is expected to take no more than one week. This
information has been added to the Reclamation Plan.
5 EXHIBIT i= -Reclamation Map (Rule 6.4.61:
See EXHIBIT F, revised Reclamation Map, attached.
• The mining phases and permit boundary are now shown and labeled on the
reclamation map.
• The planned thicknesses to which overburden will be replaced in the pit have
been added to the Reclamation Map.
The planned thickness to which topsoil will be replaced in the pit has been
added to the Reclamation Map.
• All maps have been signed and dated by Registered Land Surveyor.
