amec'? <br />• SECTION 03220.0 REINFORCING STEEL <br />PART 1: GENERAL <br />1.01 RELATED SECTIONS <br />Refer to the following Sections for related work: <br />¦ Section 03300.0 - Cast-in-Place Concrete <br />1.02 SUBMITTALS <br />CONTRACTOR shall provide product data including Mill certification sheets and specifications sufficient to <br />allow evaluation by CERTIFYING ENGINEER. <br />1.03 TOLERANCES <br />Reinforcing steel shall be placed as shown on the DRAWINGS. <br />1.04 QUALITY ASSURANCE <br />A. All work shall be constructed, monitored, and tested in accordance with the requirements of the CQA <br />Plan. <br />is B. Any work found unsatisfactory or any work disturbed by subsequent operations before acceptance is <br />granted shall be corrected by CONTRACTOR, at no additional cost to CC&V. <br />PART 2: PRODUCTS <br />2.01 MATERIALS <br />A. Reinforcing steel shall be Grade 60. Reinforcing bars shall be shop fabricated and tabbed with <br />suitable identifications to facilitate sorting and placement. <br />B. Tie wire shall be No. 16 AWG or heavier. <br />PART 3: EXECUTION <br />3.01 INSTALLATION <br />A. CONTRACTOR shall be responsible for the locations and placement of all reinforcing bars. <br />B. All reinforcing steel shall be of the size and shape shown on the DRAWINGS. <br />C. The use of a torch or heat source for cutting or bending steel shall not be allowed. <br />D. Bars shall be free of scale, dirt, grease, or other foreign matter, which are detrimental to bond. <br />E.
