amec* <br />0 SECTION 02777.0 GEOTEXTILE <br /> <br />PART 1: GENERAL <br />1.01 SUMMARY <br />This SPECIFICATION describes requirements for the manufacture, supply, and installation of the geotextile in <br />the Underdrains, and Leak Detection System, as shown on the DRAWINGS; and constriction quality control <br />monitoring. All procedures, operations, and methods shall be in strict compliance with the <br />SPECIFICATIONS, the Construction Quality Assurance Plan, and the DRAWINGS. <br />1.02 SUBMITTALS <br />A. Submittals with Bid Documents <br />CONTRACTOR shall provide the following information relating to the geotextile <br />MANUFACTURER with its proposal. <br />Information from MANUFACTURER including company name, address, telephone <br />number, the names of the company president and quality control manager, and narrative of <br />the company history. <br />2. Description of MANUFACTURER's manufacturing capabilities: <br />• <br />a. Information on plant size, equipment, personnel, number of shifts per day, and <br />capacity per shift. <br />b. A list of standard material properties and test methods employed to arrive at the <br />values for each. As a minimum, the list shall include properties given in Part 2 of <br />this Section. <br />3. The Quality Control Manual followed during the manufacturing process including those for <br />the polymer material and for detecting foreign objects in the finished goods, and a <br />description of the quality control laboratory facilities, including the name and telephone <br />number of the quality control manager. Upon review of the Quality Control Manual, the <br />MANAGER and CERTIFYING ENGINEER may request additional testing during the <br />manufacturing process at no additional cost to CC&V. <br />B. CONTRACTOR shall provide the following information after contract award but within ten (10) <br />days prior to material arrival on-site and prior to commencement of the work: <br />The geotextile MANUFACTURER shall provide written certification that the geotextile to <br />be used meets the requirements of the Cresson Project and has been continuously inspected <br />for the presence of needles and geotextile was found to be needle free. <br />2. A copy of the MANUFACTURER's geotextile QC test results of properties outlined in Part <br />2 of this Section. The MANAGER reserves the right to refuse use of any geotextile <br />supplied without the proper QC documentation. <br />3. A detailed list of performance criteria for the geosynthetic material being produced for this <br />project. (Note: Performance criteria are sometimes referred to as "minimum property <br />values."
