ame <br />Earth & Environmental <br />No destructive testing has been performed to date due to weather. Destructive samples <br />however have been marked on the seams approximately every 500-feet. The remaining <br />seam testing and required destructive testing will commence, weather permitting next <br />week. Vacuum testing is scheduled for all patching and extrusion welding, weather <br />permitting next week. <br />Lone Star Personnel: Equipment: <br />I -Foreman I - Double fusion welder, 1-Extrusion Welder <br />I-Seamer/Operator 2 Generators, I Tensiometer <br />4- Laborers I-Fork Lift with a Spreader Bar <br />CQA ACTIVITIES: <br />SUMMARY: <br />The CQA activities performed consisted of observing, documenting and recording the construction <br />activities of the contractor. <br />Double shift work activities for the past week were overburden rock excavation and transport to the Joe <br />Dandy Main Cresson backfill area. The work concentrated within the upper and mid sections of the LOB <br />Delivery Road from station 30+00(+/-) advancing to station 25+50(+/-) and stations 2+00 (+/-) to 4+00 <br />The LOB Delivery Road between approximate Stations 20+00 (+/-) to 25+50(+/-) were drilled and shot <br />this week. Rockbreakers has been working double shifts throughout the week, depending on weather. <br />Clay processing SLF at SGOSA Dump 5 has continued. <br />The mine has been transporting clay to the South Cresson clay stockpile off and on during the week. <br />The material screening plant located at the AGOSA (Arequa Gulch Overburden Storage Area) continues <br />to produce materials for the VLF and LOB. Processing drain cover fill for the LOB Pad is complete. <br />AMEC has witnessed the completion of remedial work performed at underground working 2039. <br />Underground workings 2036 and 2030 backfilling continues for safety as the cut advances. A remedial <br />plan for these underground workings will be prepared once the cut near each working is completed. If the <br />underground workings are removed during the cut process, no remedial plan will be prepared. AMEC <br />will document that these workings were removed or that a Remedial Plan is required. Another <br />underground working has been found on the LOB Delivery Road. Survey crew will locate the working. <br />LOB Pad: Completed the subgrade preparation and structural fill for the anchor trench and SLF <br />placement. Lone Star: The geomembrane deployment has been completed. The required testing, patching <br />etc. is in the process of being completed. <br />Concrete testing for the conveyor transfer 4 footing and millwright shop transformer pad. Test specimens <br />were cast for compressive strength. Samples have been delivered to an off site laboratory for strength <br />testing. <br />Laboratory Testing Summary: <br />Laboratory testing continues (Gradations, Atterberg Limit, and Moisture-Density Relationships) for <br />previously sampled materials, throughout the shift.
