• The order for the high groundwater issue states that an amendment is not required and that only a "plan" (long-
term solution) is due to the DRMS 60 days after the Board order. That would put the due date at -7-25-09.
• The order for the inert fill issue requires and amendment to the permit be made 60 days after the MLRB hearing
date of 5-13-09. That would put that due date at -7-11-09.
I speaking briefly to you, Tony, after the hearing, you said we would make the due dates the same for both issues and
make them combined into one amendment. I am fine with that direction, but I do need more time to put together the
amendment, even for the inert fill. There are a lot of mailings, etc. to do at the Speer site. I would very much appreciate it
if you could somehow confirm that my due date for an "all-inclusive" amendment be -7-25-09. We would then simply
include the design that the engineers will come up with for a long-term solution to the groundwater issue as part of the
amendment.
Please help me out on this and get back to me as soon as possible so I can continue to work on this and plan ahead.
Thanks.
