The operator will purchase water from the Town of Rocky Ford. The operator uses a
7,000-gallon water tanker to transport and store the water.
Water Quality. Water Management
All water captured or generated within the affected area will be routed to the pit floor,
where at the low area a sediment basin will be located to allow for deposition of
sediment.
With the previous Special Operations permit, the operator has obtained a National
Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit from the Water Quality Control
Division at the CDPHE.
