Banks and Gesso, LLC
Exhibit G - Water Information
Overview
The Proctor Pit site is located on a terrace overlooking the Arkansas River valley. The
terrace is 75 to 125 feet above the surrounding land. Pockets of gravels of varying
depth are located along the terrace. The gravels are excessively drained and have a
low water carrying capacity.
The mining of the gravel deposit will not expose the groundwater, as evidenced by
previous mining experience on the site. No defined surface drainage ways will be
disturbed by the mining. There are no permitted water wells on the site nor within 600
feet of the site.
Effects on Water
Based on standard excavation practices, no adverse quantitative or qualitative effects to
surface or groundwater are expected to result from the operation. Refer to Exhibit C for
the location of water features near the site. There are no defined drainage channels on
or near the site. The groundwater table is estimated to be at least 30 to 50 feet below
the surface at this site.
Runoff from disturbed areas will be controlled and managed per the CDPS Discharge
Permit and Stormwater Management Plan (SWMP) prepared in accordance with
Colorado Dept. of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) regulations.
Project Water Requirements
The following table provides an estimate of the raw water requirements;
USE RATE UNITS GALLONS
PER YEAR ACRE FEET
PER YEAR
Dust Control 1,000 gal per day 88 days 88,000 0.28
Total 0.28
Employee water needs will be supplied by bottled water.
