Permit # M-97-086 a/
Technical Revision
This Technical Revision is to address the last paragraph
noted in your 2/17/09 inspection report. On June 9, 2009, Steve
O'Brian of Environment, Inc. and I were finally able to map the
disturbance areas in the mine using a GPS unit. The attached map
was prepared by Steve using the data we collected. We found that
we had 15.95 acres ± of slab stone area disturbed when we were
allowed 20.00 acres. The other areas of disturbance, the Stone-
yard and the Temporary Stone Storage Area (TSSA) covered a larger
area. The TSSA area is what appears to need additional bonding.
Table A shows the areas currently bonded, the disturbed area
at this time and the proposed future disturbance area. It
appears from our field measurements that we were within the
limits of the bond Ms. Deb Zack recalculated for the slab rock
areas but we also have an additional area of TSSA covering 26.68
acres ±. In the table we listed the areas that do not need
bonding coverage as part of the Bedrock Mine #1 permit area.
These include the Pinon Mine, the Siloam Mine and the Stoneyard
area. Under the Bond Disturbance Area we listed those areas
where slab rock mining and reclamation activities take place and
the TSSA. The final area of disturbance that needs bonding
covers 42.63 acres, and the Stoneyard is 13.55 acres ±. The
Stoneyard will need no reclamation as explained in the Board
approved Reclamation Plan.
Technical Revision #1
From the analysis of the current disturbed area we have
realized that we need to define 4 distinct types of disturbance
email: info@siloamstone.com website: www.siloamstone.com
