June 26, 2008 Twentymile Coal Company submitted the permit application
package (PAP) under the approved Colorado State Program to the
Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety
(CO-DRMS) for a Technical Revision (TR-64) at the Foidel Creek
Mine.
July 16, 2008 The State Historic Preservation Office provided its comments on
the proposed mining plan modification and in its opinion a finding
of no historic properties affected is appropriate for the proposed
activities.
July 20, 2008 Twentymile Coal Company published in the Steamboat Pilot the
fourth consecutive weekly notice of the availability of an
administratively complete permit application package. During the
• review period no public comments were received.
August 12, 2008 The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service provided its final consultation
comments regarding threatened and endangered species associated
with the TR-64.
December 2, 2008 The Bureau of Land Management provided its findings and
recommendations on the approval of the mining plan, with respect
to the Resource Recovery and Protection Plan.
October 3, 2008 CO-DRMS issued its Proposed Decision for Technical Revision
No. TR-64.
October 12, 2008 Twentymile Coal Company published in the Steamboat Pilot the
notice of CO-DRMS' proposed decision.
October 22, 2008 CO-DRMS Proposed Decision for Technical Revision No. 64,
became final.
April 30, 2009 OSM's Western Region recommended to the Director, OSM, that
the mining plan action be approved.
