8.0 WELL INSPECTION
March 2006
On April 29, 2006, the wells associated with the Kerr Monitoring Program were inspected for
defects and/or repair needs and total depth. The Well Inspection Report is provided in Appendix
A and presents the conditions found during the inspection. Table 12, Monitoring Well Depths,
indicates the total well depths measured in each of the prior 10 years (1997-2006). No
anomalous conditions were observed during the inspection.

In September and October of 2002, Kerr, in cooperation with the DRMS, OSMRE, and BLM
completed a program to identify, plug, seal, and reclaim a number of old exploration boreholes
and inactive alluvial monitoring wells. None of the present monitoring sites were affected by the
closure activities. These wells will be abandoned following final bond release.
