AM. <br />amec <br />Earth & Environmental <br />CQA ACTIVITIES: <br />SUMMARY: <br />The CQA activities performed consisted of observing, documenting and recording the construction <br />activities of the contractor. <br />AMEC observed placement of structural fill between stations A 17+00 (+/-) and A29+00 (+/-), <br />approximately 50 to 400 feet left of centerline <br />AMEC observed the drilling of shot holes on the East Perimeter Road. <br />Various areas of subgrade preparation were observed adjacent to the East Perimeter road. <br />Testing Summary <br />Laboratory testing continues (Particle Size Distribution, Atterberg Limits, and Moisture-Density <br />Compaction testing) for sampled materials. <br />GENERAL PROJECT ITEMS <br />Summary of Concerns: <br />No Concerns <br />Summary of Planning Items: <br />Structural fill placement for the Phase 5 VLF will continue. <br />Continue processing Soil Liner Fill at the South Cresson Clay Processing area. <br />Continue slope contouring above the East Perimeter Road. <br />Continue subgrade preparation within the VLF footprint. <br />Continue the excavation work at the planned water storage tank location. <br />Summary of Non-conformances: <br />None Issued <br />Summary of Meetings and Discussions: <br />CC& V. <br />CC&V held a Weekly Construction meeting on May 26, 2009. Items discussed included Safety, <br />Environmental, Schedule, QC documentation, and CQA. <br />Ames Construction: <br />Daily Safety/Tailgate Meetings: AMEC personnel attended the Ames daily safety meeting held at <br />6:40AM prior to the start of shift.
