Best Management Practices are performed throughout the LOB project.
IV)LOB Pad Geosynthetics
A) LLDPE Geomembrane 80 and 100 mil LLDPE
All work has been completed per the project specifications.
CQA ACTIVITIES:
SUMMARY:
Field Observation Summary
The CQA activities performed consisted of observing, documenting and recording the construction
activities of the contractor.
Underground working 2030 was backfilled during excavation in the cut area for safety.
Continue throughout the week to observe fill placement on the LOB Pad and LOB Delivery Road.
Conveyor Transfer Station #5, retaining wall concrete: Three test specimens were cast for compressive
strength.
Laboratory Testing Summary
Laboratory testing continues (Gradations, Atterberg Limit, and Moisture-Density Relationships) for
previously sampled materials, throughout the week.
Gradation test results on two samples of Drain Cover Fill (record tests). Drain Cover Fill meets the
project specification grading requirements.
Gradation test results on representative samples of structural fill from the LOB cut areas were completed
on three samples. Test results indicate greater than 30% rock was retained on the 3/4 -inch screen.
Method specification compaction is applicable for the materials tested.
Concrete cylinders have been delivered to an off site-testing laboratory for compressive strength testing.
GENERAL PROJECT ITEMS
Summary of Concerns:
No Concerns
Sheet 4 of 10
LOB Weekly Report WE 05.09.09.D
