Increase the height of the existing berm at the toe of the development rock area if it is less than 1.5 feet •
high. Make sure that the berm is at least 1.5 feet high and connect any breached areas along the berm.
Construct a 40 foot wide, 150 foot long, and 4 foot deep catchment basin having 1.5:1 bank slope at the
northwest end of the development rock area. The existing berm should be extended to capture runoff
from the development rock area and route it to the basin.
Construct a 30 foot wide, 100 foot long, and 4 foot deep catchment basin having 1.5:1 bank slope at the
northeast end of the development rock area. The existing berm should be extended to capture runoff
from the development rock area and route it to the basin.
Carnation
• Increase the height of the existing berm at the top of the development rock area, where it is less than 1.5
feet high, to 1.5 feet and connect any breached areas along the berm.
• Maintain the existing sediment pond area and increase the depth to 3.5 feet.
Sunday
• Construct a 3.5 foot deep channel above (south) of the mine site to divert off site flows around the site.
Reseed the channel in the fall.
• Increase the height of the existing berms where they are less than 1.5 feet high, to 1.5 feet and connect
any breached areas along the berm. The existing berms should be extended to enclose any runoff form
the southeast portion of the surface facilities.
• Construct a 45 foot wide, 150 foot long, and 5 foot deep catchment basin having 1.5:1 bank slope at the
northeast end of the surface facilities (toe of the development rock area).
• Construct a 60 foot wide, 400 foot long, and 4.5 foot deep catchment basin having 1.5:1 bank slope a
the northeast end of the development rock area. •
Work was completed at the Sunday Complex in September of 2008. The following Drainage repair summary
provides a list of work completed by Sutherlands Excavation as provided by Danny Flannery of Denison Mines
(USA) Corp. Unfortunately no seeding occurred at the Sunday Complex in the fall of 2008.
Topaz Mine
• Off site drainage ditch above mine site was cleaned out and brought to a depth of 2.5 to 4 ft.
West Sunday
• Off site drainage above mine was cleaned and brought to a depth of at least 2.5 ft.
• The existing berms located at the bottom of the development rock pile were repaired where needed and
brought to a height of at least 1.5 feet.
• The catch basin at the toe of the development rock pile was repaired and improved to more than 40 feet
wide by 170 feet long. The basin is now at least 5feet deep.
• The area of the berm located around the bottom of the development rock on the East side was extended
and strengthened and an additional basin was constructed to ensure that any runoff from the pile would
be contained onsite.
(•
OENISONI)„
MINES
2
