Site Drainage: Surface drainage flows north over the topsoil stockpile and waste rock area to an <br />earthen berm, which works as a temporary sediment trap for the site. The drainage from the <br />berm discharges to the north into a tributary of Big Gypsum Creek, an intermittent creek located <br />approximately 3/4 mile north of the mine workings area. Big Gypsum Creek ultimately <br />discharges west to the Dolores River, which ultimately discharges northwest to the Colorado <br />River. The topographic lines on Figure 2C in Appendix A depict the site flow pattern, and <br />Figure 1 shows the regional topography. <br />Table 3-3.
