COR-030000 Stormwater Management Plan
4. FINAL STABILIZATION (H.C.4.)
a) Description of Final Stabilization Practices (§I.C.4.a) and Methods (§I.C.4.b)
Final stabilization includes those measures taken to control pollutants in stormwater after soil
disturbing activities are complete. At closure of the mines, the site will be restored in
accordance with the mining permit reclamation plan. Project reclamation will include
regrading of the steeper slopes to achieve long-term stabilized slopes. The slopes will then
be covered with the stockpiled topsoil, contour ripped, and seeded to create a vegetative
cover that minimizes erosion. The WRA will be contoured, provided with a topsoil cover
and re-vegetated. Seed mix selection will consist of naturally occurring vegetation for the
surrounding area approved by the BLM, and will be applied using the methods described in
Section 3.c)2)ii of this SWMP. Erosion and sediment control BMPs will be maintained until
final stabilization is achieved.
b) Final Stabilization Achievement (§I.C.4.c)
Final stabilization is achieved when all ground surface disturbing activities at the site have
been completed and uniform vegetative cover has been established with an individual plant
density of at least 70 percent of pre-disturbance vegetative cover, or equivalent permanent,
physical erosion reduction methods have been employed. When final stabilization is
achieved, temporary erosion and sediment control measures will be removed.

Denison Mines (USA) Corp. Sunday Mines SWMP
22
