Section 3
Results
This section presents the results of the attenuation testing.
3.1 Absorption Test Results
The results of the adsorption test are provided in Table 3-1 through Table 3-6 for
arsenic, selenium, vanadium, uranium, molybdenum, and antimony, respectively.
Antimony was not successfully leached from the development rock and measureable
amounts of molybdenum were not adsorbed on to the soils. These tables provide the
starting concentrations and the calculated concentration of metals adsorbed (using the
equation presented in Section 2.3). Absorption test data are presented in Appendix B.
Table 3-1 Arsenic Adsorption

Development
Rock

Ratio Soil
Mass Solution
Volume
L Leachate Initial
Concentration
m /L Leachate Final
Concentration
m /L

x/m (mg/kg)
4 250.7 999.9 0.1 0.016 0.34
10 100.4 1003.1 0.1 0.034 0.66
20 50.7 1001.9 0.1 0.053 0.93
40 20.8 764.8 0.1 0.069 1.14
V4WR4 60 13.1 753.1 0.1 0.083 0.98
4 253.1 991.4 0.069 0.032 0.14
10 102.6 1003.2 0.069 0.034 0.34
20 51.3 994.6 0.069 0.045 0.47
40 12.9 538.2 0.069 0.062 0.29
WSWR3 60 8.2 515.2 0.069 0.063 0.38
4 251.4 1013.3 0.016 0.014 0.01
10 100 1004.5 0.016 0.006 0.10
20 50.2 1001.2 0.016 0.01 0.12
40 22.7 899.8 0.016 0.012 0.16
SJWR3 60 15.5 902.6 0.016 0.012 0.23
4 251.1 992.5 0.041 0.012 0.11
10 103 1015.3 0.041 0.006 0.35
20 52.1 997 0.041 0.016 0.48
40 20.1 751.8 0.041 0.027 0.52
TPWR3 60 13.4 753.2 0.041 0.031 0.56
10 104.3 987.2 0.111 0.07 0.39
20 50.3 997.8 0.111 0.084 0.54
40 26.2 984.2 0.111 0.099 0.45
SVWR2 60 12.2 752.3 0.111 0.105 0.37

3-1

•
•
TW986-Denison Mines%Task Order 3 - OMO Sampling and Analysis Plan%Task 3.12 - Soil, Ore, Rock Data Assessment ReporttSSunday Rods ReportWtadimentsWOenuation Report working draft 040309.doc
