• Detailed Drilling and Completion Plan
TP Pad
T-1 (Heater-Producer Test Well 1) (Figure 4-11)
• Drill up to a 24" diameter hole a minimum of 40 feet with at least 5 feet into competent
bedrock. Historically, surface casing holes have been 40 feet deep.
• Run 40', 94#, J-55 Surface Casing.
• Cement with "Neat Cement" to surface.
• Rig up diverter and wait on cement a minimum of 4 hours.
• Drill out from surface casing with nominal 12 1/4 " diameter bit. Drill to a depth to where
the down hole survey tools will not be influenced by the steel surface casing.
• Trip out of the hole and put on a mud motor with nominal 12 1/4 " bit. Utilize the motor
and surveys to stay vertical to a depth of 1158 feet. Complete directional surveys every
40 feet.
• • Directionally drill the nominal 12 1/4 " hole to 60 ° inclination (from vertical) at 2205 feet
MD, 2024 TVD (-top of the R1) then hold 60° to TMD of 2530 feet.
• Open the 12 1/4 " hole to 18" with hole opener. Circulate to clean and condition hole.
• Run 11 3/4 " casing to TMD of 2530. Casing will be 75# J-55 to the retort top (-top of
the RI) and alloy steel throughout the retort zone.
• Cement to surface from the retort top as per cement plan.
• Wait on cement for 12 hours.
• Condition the hole and run and hang the heater and production assembly.
• Refer to Appendix 4-3 for the completion details.
u
29
