current and prospective employees of AMSO are required to voluntarily participate in the drug and is <br />alcohol screening program and adhere to a strict policy regarding the use and possession of drags and <br />alcohol. All employees will be required to read, sign, and date a waiver indicating that they have read and <br />understood this policy and all of its accompanying documents. <br />3.6.1 Drug Testing <br />All drug screenings will be managed by the Wellness Connection located at 3150 N. 12'' St. This <br />company utilizes a random screening selection program to notify employees from a central pool of <br />several different companies that they have been selected for a random drug screen. The employees will <br />be notified by phone or by mail of their selection. Approximately 25% of the central pool will be sekccted <br />each year to participate in a random screening. AMSO will pay the cost of any drug and alcohol testing <br />that it requires or requests employees to submit to, including retesting of confirmed positive results. An.y <br />additional tests that the employee requests will be paid for by the employee. <br />5.0 HAZARD CONTROL <br />The potential for exposure to a variety of safety and health hazards may exist during the <br />implementation of any project. The controls to be used to minimize the hazards are divided into <br />two major categories: (1) engineering controls and (2) administrative controls and work <br />practices. Personal protective equipment (PPE), a third element of hazard control, is discussed <br />in Section 6.o of this SHP. In addition to engineering controls and administrative controls, this <br />section also discusses safety procedures for selected equipment that may be used at AM.SO ??Fork <br />sites. <br />Hazards other than those evaluated in the SHP may be identified during the course of a. project. <br />When this occurs, additional controls will be implemented immediately by the SSHO. <br />5.1 (Engineering Controls <br />Engineering controls have been incorporated into the process and designed to eliminate or <br />reduce the hazard.
