PROJECT MANAGER: <br />Responsible for overall implementation and effectiveness of the AMSO SHP. <br />Consider and initiate action upon recommendation from project personnel <br />and/or SSHO. <br />Acquaint field personnel with potential hazards and procedures to minimize the <br />risk of negative impact of those hazards. <br />Make available proper personal protective equipment (PPE), adequate time and <br />budget, and trained personnel to perform site work in a safe and healthy manner. <br />Investigate and report to the Designated Safety and Health Officer (DSHO) each <br />work-related illness or injury, near miss, vehicular accident, and property <br />damage incident and make necessary reports to OSHA. <br />DESIGNATED SAFETY AND HEALTH OFFICER (DSHO): <br />Review and approve the SHP and SSHP. <br />Implement health and safety policies, programs, and procedures that are stated <br />in the SHP and SSHP. <br />is . Participate in incident investigation as necessary. <br />• Communicate with the Project Manager to ensure that the SHP and SSHP are <br />implemented. <br />SITE SAFETY AND HEALTH OFFICER. <br />Conduct site-specific training as necessary and a health and safety meeting before <br />work startup and daily thereafter. Additional meetings may be required for <br />specific job tasks or site activities. <br />Verify that site personnel have read the SHP and SSHP, if prepared, and signed <br />the employee acknowledgement form (Appendix A). <br />Verify that onsite subcontractors comply with applicable OSHA requirements. <br />Coordinate with the DSHO or Project Manager on accident investigations, as <br />necessary. <br />Communicate frequently with site personnel to ensure that implementation of <br />the SHP and SSHP, if prepared, is active and effective. <br />Verify that guidelines, rules, and procedures in the SHP and SSHP, if prepared, <br />are followed for all AMSO site activities.
