REVISED RECLAMATION COSTS FOR FULL PROJECT BONDING - MAY 2009 <br />(THIS IS PART OF CONSIDERATION OF TECHNICAL REVISION 04 SUBMITTED IN 2009) <br />PROPOSED RECLAMATION COST = $884,878.89 <br />NOTE: This amount DOES NOT include DMG add-on amounts <br />that must be included in the bond amount. <br />BASIC ASSUMPTIONS: <br />TOTAL ACREAGE = 500 ACRES <br />MAJOR DISTURB = 150 ACRES <br />MINOR DISTURB = 350 ACRES <br />Total Acreage includes: <br />1. All current disturbance, major and minor. <br />2. Transition land (land where mining can occur while developing mining in Amendment 3 area) <br />3. 300 acres maximum agreed to acreage in Amendment 3 area <br />Major Disturbance includes: <br />1. Processing plant <br />2. Stockpile (soil/overburden) <br />3. Roads (included in mining or processing area - see note below) <br />4. Mining pits <br />5. All land in various stages of reclamation, but not yet seeded. <br />Minor Disturbance includes: <br />1. All land that has been seeded. <br />of Reclamation Cost Categories - <br />MAJOR DISTURBANCE RECLAMATION COSTS $822,783.33 <br />ROAD RECLAMATION COSTS (SEE NOTE BELOW) $10,033.06 <br />REVEGETATION MANAGEMENT COSTS $52,062.50 <br />TOTAL $884,878.89 <br />Cost/acre $1,769.76 for 500 acres <br />(NOTE: Road Reclamation Costs are included as a separate calculation because roads are not <br />inlcuded in the Major Disturbance category as far as the Colorado Board of Land Commissioners <br />are concerned, but are a Major Disturbance so far as the Reclamation Permit is concerned. Thus, <br />roads are not a part of the 150 acre major disturbance, but are taken into account in the bonding. <br />Fortunately, there should not be more than about an acre of such roadways that require <br />a separate accounting, as calculated below.)
