Reclamation Permit Amendment Application (M-1980-146: AM-04) -112c Page 10 of 27
M western edge of these three areas will contain soil for reclamation after use of areas for
plants and product/overburden stockpiles is done.
4. Areas A-C, E, and F will be addressed as explained in Sheet F-1.
c. Sheet F-3: (Reclamation Contours, Phase I: if additional BLM is not leased)
1. Perimeter highwalls ranging from 20 to 80 feet in height will have slopes of 65%
(approximately 1.5:1) to 2:1.
2. Pit floor will be relatively level, with the northern 40% draining to the west, and
the remainder to the south.
3. The exact height of the sloped/backfilled south highwall (Areas H, 1) will be
determined by the relative elevation of the Crader Pit to the south and the Montoya Pit.
4. The south area (Area L) will include a small settling and infiltration basin to
control sediment and provide for better vegetation.
5. A BLM access road and bike trails would criss-cross the area but are not shown,
as the exactly location is undetermined by BLM at this time.
d. Sheet F-4: (Reclamation Sequence, Phase II: if additional BLM leases are granted)
1. Area I will be reclaimed after M, N, O, and P, unless BLM authorizes and
requires a permanent access road be left through these areas.
2. Areas J, K, and much of L will have all slopes done, but the floor will be left
without soil until no longer needed for plant and stockpile areas, then will be
reclaimed.
3. Reclamation for Area Q will be shown only in a technical revision, if approved by
BLM.
• e. Sheet F-5: (Reclamation Contours, Phase 11: if additional BLM leases are granted)
8. All perimeter highwalls ranging from 20 to 80 feet in height will have slopes of
65% (approximately 1.5:1) to 2:1.
9. Pit floor will be relatively level, with the western % draining east then south (some
of this area may have internal drainage and infiltration, only), the northcentral'/ draining
to the southwest (same as western %), and the south half to the south.
10. The exact height of the sloped/backfilled south highwall (Areas H, 1) will be
determined by the relative elevation of the Crader Pit to the south and the Montoya Pit.
Other heights dictated by terrain and BLM requirements.
11. The south area (Area L) will include a small settling and infiltration basin to
control sediment and provide for better vegetation. Area M will also have a similar basin.
12. A BLM access road and bike trails would cross the entire area but are not shown,
as the exactly location is undetermined by BLM at this time.
•
8. See Exhibit F for reclamation maps.
9. See also Bureau of Land Management Environmental Assessment "Grandview Gravel Pit
Expansion Project" Attachment M-1. (Section 1.2 Description of Proposed Action)
10. Notes for Tables: Reclamation tasks (in order): backfill to final elevations (BF), finish
grading (FG), place soil (PS), vegetate (VE), revegetate (RV). Year is the year in which all
work including seeding will be done; one to two growing seasons will usually be required
before eligible for release.
C&J Gravel Products Exhibits to Reclamation Amendment #004 19 April 2009
OWASTELINE, INC 2008 Project 5064.2.LQ (10/27) Draft Final C&J-MoP-004
