The problems should be corrected by the dates given, or they will become possible <br />violations. The possible violations should be corrected by the dates given to reduce their severity when considered <br />by the Mined Land Reclamation Board. The inspector noted on the previous page should be notified of all <br />corrective actions taken. <br />PROBLEMS/POSSIBLE VIOLATIONS <br />AND <br />CORRECTIVE ACTIONS <br />CORRECTION <br />DATE <br />J1. The permit boundary was not delineated along the northeast and east portions of permit 5/15 /09 <br />Area. Rule 3.1.12 requires the boundaries of the affected area to be marked by <br />monuments or other markers that are clearly visible and adequate to delineate such <br />boundaries. <br />PB or PV: PB_ <br />TOPIC(S): SM <br />The Operator shall erect monuments or boundary markers to delineate the permit boundary. - <br />The boundary markers must be in place on or before May 15, 2009 and proof of compliance <br />must be submitted to the Division by the same date. Proof of compliance may be in the form <br />of photographs. <br />2. The topsoil stockpiles do not have established vegetation on them and are therefore 5 / 15 /09 <br />susceptible to erosion. Rule 3.1.9(1) states that if topsoil is not replaced into the backfill area <br />within a time short enough to avoid deterioration of the topsoil, vegetative cover or other <br />means shall be employed so that the topsoil is protected from erosion. <br />PB or PV: PB_ <br />TOPIC(S): IS <br />The Operator will need to seed the stockpiles with the seed mix that was submitted as - <br />part of the approved Reclamation Plan. The seed mix is comprised of: Thickspike <br />Wheatgrass (0.87 Ibs/ac), Western Wheatgrass (1.52 Ibs/ac), Smooth Brome (1.16 Ibs/ac), <br />Basin Wildrye (2.01 Ibs/ac), Meadow Fescue (1 .14 lbs/ac), Alkali Sacaton (0.1 Ibs/ac), Reed <br />Canarygrass (0.4 Ibs/ac), Switchgrass (0.34 Ibs/ac). The topsoil stockpiles shall be seeded <br />no later than May 15, 2009. The Operator shall demonstrate compliance by submitting <br />seed tags, a bill of sale or photographs of seeding activities. The Operator may also <br />request a follow up inspection.
