<br />APPENDIX D <br />March 2000 -18-- 993-2099.150 <br />This is the area of Molle Bell Shaft. One of the holes in the area identified open <br />excavations at approximately 20 feet below the ground surface. Further exploratory <br />drilling will be undertaken in this area at the time of remediation to define the area that <br />requires remediation. <br />This is the area of Savage Shaft. One of the holes in the area identified an open <br />excavations at a depth of approximately 35 feet below surface. Further exploratory <br />drilling will be undertaken in this area at the time of remediation to define the area that <br />requires remediation. <br />40 5.4.5 Area 5 <br />This is the area of Ella Shaft. None of the holes drilled in the area identified any open <br />excavations. Further exploratory drilling will be undertaken in this area at the time of <br />remediation. Present evidence is that remediation may not be required in this area. <br />Area 6 extends from Winchester Shaft and Ophir Incline in the north to the workings to the <br />south of Minnehaha Shaft, an overall distance of approximately 1500 feet. While the area <br />does not show evidence of large scale caving, it has been extensively mined relatively close <br />to surface, and in some areas, the mining continued through to surface. <br />Several holes identified underground excavations along the 1500 foot trend of the <br />workings.
