amec <br />Earth & Environmerrtal <br />B. Roadside ditch <br />No work performed during shift. <br />C. Best Management Practices (BMP) <br />No work performed during shift. Existing silt fencing structures appear to be in good <br />condition. <br />IV. LOB Geosynthetics <br />A. LLDPE Geomembrane 80 and 100 mil LLDPE <br />Lone Star (Installer) has completed their MSHA training. Lone Star's submittal is pending <br />approval. Additional information is required. Lone Star is planning to be on site next <br />week. <br />CQA ACTIVITIES: <br />SUMMARY: <br />The CQA activities performed consisted of observing, documenting and recording the construction <br />activities of the contractor. <br />Double shift work activities for the past week were overburden rock excavation and transport to the Joe <br />Dandy Main Cresson backfill area. The work concentrated within the upper and mid sections of the LOB <br />Delivery Road from station 25+50(+/-) advancing to station 30+00(+/-) and stations 16+00 (+/-) to 13+00 <br />The LOB Delivery Road between approximate Stations 25+50 (+/-) to 22+50(+/-) has been drilled and <br />shot this week. The LOB Delivery Road, adjacent to the LOB Pad, has approximately 30 feet of <br />overburden rock left which will require additional drilling and blasting for removal. Rockbreakers has <br />been working double shifts throughout the week, depending on weather. <br />Clay processing SLF at SGOSA Dump 5 started on Wednesday. Two samples were taken on Friday for <br />testing on the processed clay. <br />The mine has been transporting clay to the South Cresson clay stockpile most of the week (some night <br />transport of clay has occurred). <br />The material screening plant located at the AGOSA (Arequa Gulch Overburden Storage Area) has been <br />re-located to the VLF adjacent to the existing sub-station. Processing Drain Cover Fill from material <br />delivered by the mine. <br />AMEC has witnessed the completion of remedial work performed at underground working 2019. The <br />backfilling of underground working 2036 and 2030 was completed for safety. A remedial plan for these <br />underground workings will be prepared once the cut near each working is completed. If the underground <br />workings are removed during the cut process, no remedial plan will be prepared. AMEC will document <br />that these workings were removed or that a Remedial Plan is required. <br />LOB Pad: Completed the subgrade preparation and structural fill for the anchor trench. SLF has been <br />transported on Friday to the pad. The existing Phase IV liner has been exposed for the planned pad <br />geomembrane tie-in. <br />Laboratory Testing Summary: <br />Laboratory testing continues (Gradations, Atterberg Limit, and Moisture-Density Relationships) for <br />previously sampled materials, throughout the shift.
