AIVIL
amec
Earth & Environmental
2. LOB Delivery Road
Overburden shot rock this past week between Stations 25+50 (+/-) and 30+00(+/-)
and between Stations 16+00(+/-) and 13+00(+/-) has been transported to the Joe
Dandy Main Cresson backfill using 5 Cat 777 Haul Trucks, a Komatsu 800
excavator, and a CAT 875 track excavator aided by a Cat D-10 dozer. (Double
shift work)
Rockbreakers has continued drilling the LOB Delivery Road cut between Stations
25+50 (+/-) and 22+50 (+/-) for blasting. Blasting has been completed in the
aforementioned area this past Monday through Thursday. Rockbreakers has been
working double shifts.
3. LOB Conveyor Corridor
No overburden rock transported to the Joe Dandy Main Cresson backfill.
D. Cut to Fill
1. LOB Pad
Work is complete.
2. LOB Delivery Road
Overburden shot rock between stations 30+00 (+/-) and 29+00 (+/-) was
transported with two Volvo haul trucks to the LOB Delivery road fill section
between stations 36+00 (+/-) and 40+00 (+/-) during the week. By late Friday,
the fill is within 2 feet of finished grade, left of centerline of road 0 to 50 feet.
Right of centerline of road is to grade. Additional equipment working the fill: 1
D-8 Dozer, 2 D-6 Dozers, one Komatsu 800 track excavator, and one smooth
drum vibratory roller. Fill placement by method specification as outlined in the
Project Documents.
3. Fill placement by method specification.
One CAT 345 track excavator is placing fill and one CAT vibratory roller used
for compacting
E. Subgrade Preparation
1. LOB Pad Soil Liner Fill (SLF)
During the week, structural fill was transported for completing the subgrade in
preparation for the SLF placement. To construct the anchor trench, structural fill
was placed and compacted in lifts adjacent to the rock cut
On Friday the existing subgrade was processed (watered) prior to placing SLF
followed with the transport of the SLF with 7 Volvo haul trucks. SLF is from the
Phase IV existing stockpile located in the AGOSA Material Processing area. One
D-6 Dozer is spreading the SLF. The SLF was spread to loose lift thickness today
(>12-inches). SLF will be compacted prior to the deployment of the
Geomembrane. At that time, SLF depth checks and field densities are to be
performed. The imported SLF was sampled for project compliance. The Phase
IV liner for the planned pad geomembrane tie-in has been exposed.
Sheet 2 of 12
LOB Weekly Report WE 04.11.09.D
